HISTORY
In
1946, D&R Ltd. opened in Santa Barbara, California. Seventeen
years later, Varo, Inc. bought the product lines and formed the
|
Electro
Kinetics Division. In
1977, this division was
purchased by HTL Industries; and two years later, Allegheny International
acquired HTL Industries in its entirety.
Pacific Scientific
Company purchased HTL Industries and the Electro Kinetics Division
at the end of 1986. Twelve years later, Danaher Corporation bought
the Pacific Scientific Company; and in 1999, PS/EKD relocated to
a new facility in Carpinteria, California (12 miles south of Santa
Barbara).
Today, PS/EKD
is a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of specialized,
high speed electrical power rotating equipment with a customer list
spanning the globe.
